The EUROKOOL platelet style ice generation system produces ice with up to 30-50% less energy consumption vis a conventional drum ice plant of comparable capacity. Another way to look at this is to say the EUROKOOL plant can produce 40-100% more ice than the conventional drum ice plant for the same energy consumed.

The unique dual function design allows the production of either ice or ice water from the same ice generator module. The operator can readily switch between ice & ice water modes with a flick of a switch.

Fully containerised with a “plug & play” design configuration ensures rapid and accurate installation on site. Being modular means the plant is readily upgradeable such that a single ice storage system of 60tons capacity can be configured to receive up to 400tons/day ice production.

The simplicity of the EUROKOOL plant design delivers an ice plant with less moving parts and with less moving parts it is easy to understand there is less to go wrong e.g. there are no moving parts on the ice generator unit making it virtually maintenance free.

Simplicity in the ice generator design means the plant can handle water of far greater TDS levels than traditional drum ice makers. The heavy duty design of the ice storage augur extraction guarantees easy extraction of ice.

The FIFO first in first out principle of the EUROKOOL storage system means the oldest ice is always consumed first. This is an important note as it is well understood that older/stagnant ice is more likely to agglomerate over time making blockages and glaciation a higher probability, something that renders conventional rake system storages unusable without periodically being completely cleaned out which wastes time, labour & tons of ice!!

The self-lubricating nature of the platelet ice allows screw conveyor ice delivery up to 60m and inclinations up to 45deg which is not possible in flake ice plants.

EUROKOOL plants operate using ammonia (NH3) which is the most energy efficient natural refrigerant. Being both water soluble & a simple elemental structure means ammonia is a very environmentally friendly solution. For added safety the EUROKOOL plants come equipped as standard with ammonia detection & alarm systems.
